"tell your boosters to give a little more next time jim!"
ahh yes, the smell of big time college football is finally back in the air in happy valley. images of curtis enis planting his cleats all over big kat andy katzenmoyer's chest and mill's spin-o-rama to beat the bucknuts have been dancing in my head all week and now it is time to write another chapter in this little 'border war'. the big ten has been served notice and now it is time for someone to smack the bucknuts around and eliminate all this absurd BCS talk coming from columbus.
the game will indeed be a close one, something that may be decided by a late field goal, and should you miss it saturday you should have no problems catching it sunday morning on espn classic. that being said, poz & connor will prove for all to see that they indeed are the class of big ten linebacking crews and shut down whoever the bucknuts put behind center. i am thinking something in the neighborhood of 24-17.
for the glory!

I was thinking 24-20 Lions, but I won't argue over a fieldgoal. It's time for this team to make a major statement.
What I will argue with is this "For the Glory" business you're ending your clever blogs with - a true Nits fan would know that tag line belongs another PSU writer who's been doing it since before we Greg Garrity, Curt Warner, and Todd Blackedge were winning national championships. "How's that working out for ya - being clever?"
PSU playing in the slop leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even still, I recently realized I despise losing to the Buckeyes even more than the Wolverines. Therefore, a loss is unacceptable, and a win will happen w/ another big Smolko catch.
