stopping to smell the roses...even if they are glass

thanks to a generous grant from the stewart/cherokee foundation, ash and i were able to attend a presentation of world-renowned glass artist, dale chihuly, at the new york botanical gardens. as this was a totally visual experience, we encourage you to check out our photos of our time. both the plant life and the glass works are beautiful by themselves, but in concert with one another, they go to a 'hole nuvva level'.
