would you trust this face...hell no!

It should be noted that I hate few things in life more than I hate trickeration in football. That is some serious bullsh...ut your mouth! That being said, this week I am sure to have to endure some serious trickeration as its patron saint, GlenBoy Mason is coming to Happy Valley. On-sides kicks, fake punts, breaking the huddle with 7 receivers, etc....nothing is off limits. Meanwhile JoePa's idea of trickeration would be a pooch punt in overtime to pin the Gophers deep in their own territory. Un-effin-believale!

p.s. Despite the trickeration of the Gophers, the Nits prevail 27-23.

i smell a sugary, sweet winner!

you know that fall is upon us, when you see these delicious little devils on shelves at your neighborhood bodega. just think of the genius involved with the naming of this product. taking the ubiquitous 'Sno-Ball' and cleverly changing it to 'Glo-Ball', which instantly evokes images of Halloween debauchery. As if that copy-writing was not mind-blowing enough, just look at the artistic wizardry that is on display with that box! one can only hope to have something approaching the impact on the cultural landscape that the geniuses at Hostess have with this saccharine superstar!

gino c. successor?

i remain cautiously optimistic that we may have found someone to fill the void at linebackers for PSU since the great Gino Capone left several seasons ago. keep your fingers crossed, Poz may just reach those lofty, "Capone-esque" heights one day

owner of a lonely heart

This is a little treat for any of you who grew up in the early 80s dreaming of being an effeminate, male rock star. Just know that you were not alone.

p.s. this cover is done by the supremely entertaining NYC band Grizzly Bear. I would strongly recommend checking out their album, Horns of Plenty.

three more years

i could rhapsodize about all four quarters of what was a terribly sloppy game this past Saturday in Evanston, but instead i will let you ponder the possibilities of 3+ more years.

peter cetera & brats on the grill

Thats right, we are hitting the road to the Windy City to take in the PSU/Northwestern game. Take the Nits to win and the over on horrible punt returns for C. Lowry. I am thnking something in the neighborhood of 24-17 PSU.

Congratulations are in order

I want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to my friends Jon and Kim on their exciting news. I always knew it was in the cards for you two and I am happy that it finally became a reality. You guys go together like Gino Capone and Penn State Linebacking legend. Mazel tov!

a man in exile

In a move that perfectly encapsulates my time at MZB, I have been asked to leave my mid-town Manhattan office for the lovely confines of an empty warehouse on scenic Northern Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens. It should be noted that the move was not all bad, as I can now get my daily exercise walking a country mile just to get a cup of coffee in the morning. If my time at MZB has been an ice cream sundae, this is surely the effin cherry on top.

- Jon Stewart

I can't get enough of this...

I know that the season is young and it could still get real ugly for the Nits, but at this point I am smiling ear to ear. Three weeks into the College Football season, and I am looking at 6-0. That is to say, Penn State at 3-0 and Pitt at 0-3.

a new day

This is a quick hello to let anyone and everyone know that you will soon be submitted to the frequent musings of a disgruntled individual living the dream.
