for the last time this fall, i will load up the family cruiser, hit the highway, and make the mind-numbingly slow trip back to happy valley to see my beloved, nittany lions play the game of football. in seasons past, this trip has been painful and almost totally unrewarding, but suffering through those tough times makes seasons like this so much sweeter. that being said, the nits must continue their stellar play (you know that if there was a play-off system, no-one would want to play psu) and send wiscy's barry alvarez off into retirement with a loss in his final big-ten road game. he gets props for his 'pennsy' heritage, but for the lions to continue their march to the bcs, he must go down. look for the offense to exploit a soft badgers d and get back on track after last weeks sluggish performance. the victory bell will ring out into the crisp fall air and it's sweet tone will mean psu is one step closer to the big ten title. congrats seniors and fight on state! 33-24 nits.

Alvarez. I have to hand it to you. You really have the right persona for the job. As the coach of the badgers, you have gone above and beyond, and begun to assimilate the physical features of a badger into your physique. You're stocky, built low to the ground, from all accounts quite hairy, and an endangered species in the mid-west.
And, like shifty badgers, you have slinked up my beloved JoePa's vintage 1953 boxers, and gotten under his skin for WAY too many victories. STOP THAT! And, tell Erasmus I have a message for him MRob is twice the player he is, even if he struggles occasionally to hit the broad side of a wheat field.
Alvarez, I hardly knew ye. Now leave with a 39-22 spanking. And take your cheese with you. It stinks.
After some recon work in Wisconsin this week, I have this to report: Penn State is going to cut through the Wisconsin defense like the soft brie cheeseheads that they are. And in the end, their appetizer course is nothing compared to the scoring feast that the Nits will serve them.
MRob has something to prove this game - and like the end of a can of Cheez Wiz, these Badgers are all air.
