not a swede sixteen
the dream of a swedish conquest at the 2006 world cup is over, as they were bounced from the tournament in the round of 16 by germany. it was a nice run in a tough group, but i would have liked to have seen this brave and spirited team go just a bit further. i guess we will have to live with the sublime memories of sweden v paraguay in berlin.

Thx Robb. Awesome pics. Jealous. When we went to a Roma game last fall, it put college football to shame. Have to assume this was better. How did you get tix? TAIT
i totally agree that european football puts college football to shame (as much as it pains to admit that). ash and i applied for tickets 3+ times over the last year and a half. it was only shear luck that we got the team (sweden) that we wanted.
as for feeling like a swede in that crowd...yes, maybe a little to much as my swedish is not good and we were fielding numerous questions/comments in the mother tongue.
